Critical Consumption Episode 2: Unexpect the Expected
The next episode has arrived! In this podcast, we discuss our spring "break." Some of us traveled, some of us worked. We talk about the crazy deadlines college people face, specifically in the Communication major at UWGB. We also discuss how other colleges have trimester instead of semesters, and why we chose the college we are at now. We discuss friend making and living on campus vs commuting and how that changes college experiences. In our pop culture segement, we discuss McFarland USA, Cinderella, and the stereotypes that both of these different films convey. Movies provide a deeper understanding of stereotypes, white privilege, and the unrealistic weight goals of Disney princesses.
We hope you enjoy this segment. Tell us what you think and tell us about your experiences at college, and don't forget to like us on Facebook and share this with your friends. We appriciate your feedback and if there is something you would like us to talk about, let us know on our social media pages (Twitter or Facebook). Thanks! :)

Critical Consumption Episode 1: Culture and College
Welcome to Critical Consumption!
For those of you in college, we understand. You are busy, fast-paced, and ever-growing individuals. Some of you will do great things, but for now you are in college, probably stressing out over that test you have tomorrow, but you have decided to come check us out instead. And we appreciate that. Critical Consumption is a podcast devoted to the college population and popular culture. Our goal is to provide entertainment and to make you think (just a little) about concepts, media, and products found in modern culture. Critical Consumption is highly opinionated, however it is our goal to present both a positive and negative criticisms to our planned topics of conversations. Topics may become rants, our humor is our own, and this is our first podcast. We hope all college students can enjoy our discussions and escape from the everyday stresses of cram sessions, awkward social situations, running late to class, and all that homework.
